School Board Public Work Session – Tuesday, June 25
The Walla Walla School District Board of Directors held a public work session Tuesday to discuss and review the district’s 2013-14 preliminary budget. State legislators have not passed a budget for the next biennium, so Chief Financial Officer Pat Johnston was left to speculate on revenue projections.

She used estimates and budget scenarios to brief the school board on the district financial status for the 2013-2014 school year. Once a budget is approved at the state level, Walla Walla Public Schools will finalize its preliminary budget which is due to the state for review in mid-July. The school board expects to conduct another public work session prior to taking action on the 2013-2014 budget at its August 19 school board meeting.
